DIY Windshield Repair?

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

Let me start out by saying, “We do not recommend DIY Windshield Repair Kits, unless you are highly trained to use that device.”

The Hopeful Hero

I can see it now… Cute young girl has a really nice boyfriend. Girl tells boyfriend about a rock that just hit her windshield. Boyfriend’s time to be a hero! So he rushes over to the Auto Parts Store and grabs a “cheep” windshield repair kit he saw the last time he was in the store buying florescent green neon lights for the bottom of his car. Boyfriend then tries to repair the stone chip in cute girlfriend’s windshield. Oh, did I mention she drives a 2007 BMW. After four tries boyfriend then realizes he has just lost his cape, and hero status is on its way out fast. At a last ditch effort he rushes off to the closest Windshield Repair Shop hoping to regain hero status. Finds out his efforts are now going to cost him $350.00 to replace the windshield and his hero status with cute girl and her cute family is now gone.
